Please read these terms carefully before using WeedScene.
WeedScene is a technology platform operated by WeedScene Ltd ("WeedScene", "we", "us", "our"). We provide a global cannabis venue directory, real-time legal compliance information, venue management tools, and a community platform for cannabis consumers and venue operators.
By creating an account or using the WeedScene app or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use WeedScene.
Important: WeedScene is a technology platform only. We do not sell, supply, distribute, or endorse cannabis or cannabis products. Compliance with local laws is entirely your responsibility.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age for cannabis use in your country, if higher) to use WeedScene. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
WeedScene is intended for use only where cannabis-related content and services are lawful. It is your responsibility to ensure that using WeedScene and visiting listed venues complies with the laws in your jurisdiction.
The WeedScene consumer app is free to download and use. Creating an account is free.
GPS check-ins require location permission. Check-ins are used to verify the authenticity of reviews. You must be physically present at a venue (within 500 metres) to check in. Attempting to falsify check-ins is a violation of these Terms and may result in account suspension.
Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience. You must not post reviews that are defamatory, false, or posted in exchange for compensation from a venue.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice where necessary to protect the platform or other users.
To list a venue on WeedScene, you must be the legal owner or an authorised representative of the venue. By listing a venue, you confirm that:
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your venue listing, including menu items, pricing, operating hours, and compliance status. WeedScene is not liable for consumer complaints arising from inaccurate listings.
For Verified and Pro plan listings, WeedScene will review submitted licence documentation before granting the verified badge. Approval is at WeedScene's sole discretion. We reserve the right to revoke verified status if we have reason to believe a licence has lapsed or the listing is non-compliant.
The following are not permitted on WeedScene:
We reserve the right to remove any listing that we reasonably believe is non-compliant, without refund.
WeedScene offers the following venue owner subscription plans: Free (£0/month), Verified (£99/month or £89/month billed annually), and Pro (£199/month or £179/month billed annually). Add-ons include Featured City Placement (£99/month, fixed — maximum 3 slots per city) and Additional Venue (£49/month per extra venue).
Subscriptions are billed in advance — monthly on the same date each month, or annually on the anniversary date. Payment is processed by our third-party payment provider (Stripe). By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges to your payment method.
We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increases. Continued use of a subscription after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the owner portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your listing will revert to a free unverified listing upon cancellation — it will not be deleted.
Our refund policy is designed to be fair and transparent. Please read it carefully before subscribing.

To request a refund, email [email protected] with your account email and reason. We will respond within 5 business days.
Featured city placement slots are sold monthly and are non-refundable once the placement has gone live, as the slot prevents other venues from accessing that position. If a slot fails to go live due to our error, a full refund or credit will be issued.
Venue owners on Verified and Pro plans may create events that are listed publicly on the WeedScene platform. Events must be accurate, lawful, and not misleading. WeedScene reserves the right to reject or remove events at our discretion, particularly where an event may facilitate illegal activity or violate platform standards.
Events are subject to a moderation review before going live. Once an event is approved and published, it may be discoverable by consumers and shared on social media.
Cancellation policy (explicit): Once an event has been approved and published on WeedScene, the following cancellation rules apply to the event creator.

Important: The 24-hour cancellation window is measured from the point the event is approved by WeedScene, not from when it was submitted. We recommend event creators only publish events they are certain will go ahead. Repeated late cancellations may result in the event creation feature being restricted on your account.
For free events with no ticketing or promotional fees, the cancellation policy above applies to the event's published status only. No financial refund is applicable as no payment was taken.
WeedScene may offer branded share cards to event creators and attendees for social media sharing. Share cards are for promotional purposes only and do not constitute an endorsement of the event or venue by WeedScene.
By submitting reviews, check-ins, or any other content to WeedScene, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display that content on the platform. You retain ownership of your content.
You are solely responsible for content you submit. Content must not be defamatory, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise unlawful. We reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion without notice.
We do not verify the accuracy of reviews beyond confirming that a GPS check-in occurred at the relevant venue.
WeedScene provides legal compliance information as a guide only. This information is based on publicly available sources and our best efforts to keep it current. It does not constitute legal advice. Laws change frequently — always verify current regulations with local authorities or a qualified legal professional before visiting or operating a cannabis venue.
WeedScene accepts no liability for actions taken in reliance on compliance information displayed on the platform.
WeedScene is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that listings are accurate, current, or complete.
We are not responsible for the actions of venue owners or consumers, the quality or safety of products sold by listed venues, or any harm arising from visiting a listed venue.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WeedScene's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to WeedScene in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
WeedScene shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of business, arising from your use of the platform.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
We may suspend or terminate your access to WeedScene at any time for breach of these Terms, conduct harmful to other users, or conduct harmful to the platform's integrity. We will provide notice where reasonably practicable.
Upon termination of a venue owner account, active subscriptions will be cancelled and listings will be removed. Refunds are governed by Section 6.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
